I grew up watching my family build homes and buildings. That's not the start of a speech—that's the start of understanding how to do this work right. I spent 15 years learning the trade through my family's construction company, watching what worked and what didn't. Then I started Doug Briggs Construction 25 years ago because I wanted to apply those lessons on my own terms.

Why We Started

When I was working in new construction homes early in my career, I saw how quickly projects became just numbers on a schedule. The relationships that could have started at the foundation got lost in the framing phase. I wanted to build differently—where homeowners weren't a line item in a bid book, but the reason we showed up.

A quarter century later, that principle hasn't changed. We handle full home construction and renovations, custom kitchen remodeling, design-build work, garage conversions, and ADU building and renovations in East Sacramento. But the scope doesn't matter as much as the approach. We price fairly because we understand value. We communicate clearly because we respect your time. And we build relationships because they're the only thing worth keeping.
